Victorino Traded To Dodgers
For the past week rumors have been swirling about the Phillies offering up Shane Victorino for bullpen help. They were reportedly turned down by the Reds for Logan Ondrusek, but today they found a taker and sent Victorino to the Dodgers for reliever Josh Lindblom and pitching prospect Ethan Martin.

The Dodgers -- with a richer, better owner, a desperate need for offense and a slightly-less desperate need for a starting pitcher -- look like they could be the most active, interesting buyer this July. Heck, they have a wish list that looks like an All-Star lineup.

Shane Victorino Appearing on ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition
Shane Victorino of the Philadelphia Phillies, Clay Buchholz of the Boston Red Sox and Daniel Murphy of the New York Mets will join the Entertainment Industry Foundation and a cast of celebrities in tonight's one-hour Extreme Makeover: Home Edition "Rise and Honor" A Veterans Day Special airing on ABC at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. The special will honor U.S. veterans and their families and encourage viewers to visit RiseandHonor.org where they can make a donation to benefit veteran-serving organizations, including MLB's Welcome Back Veterans program. Welcome Back Veterans is designed to support returning Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and their families make a successful transition to civilian life.

Major League Baseball has suspended Philadelphia Phillies center fielder Shane Victorinothree games for his role in the Giants-Phillies bench-clearing incident Friday, a source told ESPN.com's Jayson Stark. The source said Victorino will appeal.

Phillies Place Shane Victorino on DL
PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Phillies have placed All-Star center fielder Shane Victorinoon the 15-day disabled list because of a thumb injury.
Victorino sprained a ligament in his right thumb in a game last weekend at Toronto. He's hitting .303 with nine homers, 34 RBIs and 13 stolen bases. The move was made Friday before the NL East-leading Phillies opened a three-game series against second-place Atlanta. The move is retroactive to July 4.
Pete Orr was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to replace Victorino. He hit .230 in 26 games with the Phillies earlier this season.
