*author's note - I originally wrote this story as "The Tragedy of Zack Ryder", but, after watching the evening news filled with real tragedies, downgraded it to a "sad story"

The story of Zack Ryder is a sad one.

It's a sad story because I've seen so much great, hard-working talent recently on the independent scene, and know how difficult it is for them to even get a shot at the big time, let alone get over...really over. Zack Ryder was over...and now he's not.

Update On WWE Superstar Fandango's Concussion

WWE reported that Fandango suffered a concussion during his match against Zack Ryder at last week's WWE SmackDown tapings from Long Island, New York.

There are officially a million of them. One million Broskis taking care, spiking their hair, Woo-Woo-Wooing in unison from the sands of Long Beach, N.Y., to the glens of Dublin. On Monday night, these gelled-up tweeters fist-pumped Zack Ryder into Twitter immortality when they pushed him past one million followers at approximately 11:18 p.m. to make him officially, finally, a “seven-figure Broski.”

Radio - Downstait #MMBNewMusic

The band Downstait recently recorded a cover of Zack Ryder's "Radio" theme song. Downstait previously recorded WWE theme songs for The Miz, Alex Riley and Dolph Ziggler, among others.

WWE Superstars Involved In Car Accident

Dolph Ziggler, Zack Ryder and Justin Roberts were involved in a car accident just outside of downtown San Diego, California on Friday afternoon as their limousine was rear-ended. WWE has updated their article with comments and a photo. No major injuries were reported but Roberts suffered a cut and all three men declined to go to a local hospital. Ryder and Roberts traveled from to Phoenix by car while Ziggler left San Diego on a plane.

The following WWE signing appearances have been announced for next week's San Diego Comic-Con:

July 12: WWE champion CM Punk, World champion Sheamus & Zack Ryder from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Mattel booth (#3029)

Daniel Bryan, Arn Anderson & Alicia Fox from 11 AM to 12 PM at the Mattel booth (#3029)

July 14th: Brodus Clay and WWE Divas champion Layla from 11 AM to 12 PM at the Mattel booth (#3029)

Zack Ryder Gets An Official Internet Championship Title

Woo Woo Woo, you know the rest...so if you're a fan or Zack Ryder, much like I'm a Ryder mark, then you know he's been showcasing a internet championship belt which is really a kid's replica belt with print outs, his own words. Well the great people at Wildcat Championship Belts (a lil brown nosing for maybe a MMB belt?) have created Ryder his very own official internet title belt. Could The New Nexus Become The Zack Pack?

An idea was brought up by WWE creative recently to put Zack Ryder in a new group with WWE Tag Team Champions David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty, who may be without a stable if or when Nexus dies after CM Punk's departure.

Speaking of Nexus' future, Mason Ryan will likely be repackaged. There has been talk of using him as a bodyguard for either The Miz or Alberto Del Rio.
