Why WWE Didn't Punish AJ Lee

Many fans were surprised when WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee didn’t drop her title to Natalya at Sunday’s TLC pay-per-view, just after the news came out about her incident with Michelle Beadle at the Tribute to the Troops tapings last week.
Word from Monday’s RAW is that Vince McMahon is a “huge” supporter of AJ and was largely behind the immediate protection of her following this incident. This is why there was no punishment at TLC or RAW for the Beadle incident.

Details On Finish To AJ Lee / Natalya Match At WWE TLC

As seen last night at WWE TLC, AJ Lee successfully defended the Divas Championship against Natalya after it was heavily speculated online that she would lose the title as punishment for a reported backstage incident with NBC personality Michelle Beadle at Wednesday's Tribute to the Troops event—gamblers briefly predicted Natalya would win amidst reports of the ordeal (betting for the match was ultimately nixed from most sportsbooks), after Lee was considered a heavy favorite. Dave Meltzer stated this morning in a podcast on F4WOnline.com that Lee was always scripted to win the bout, as the match result was finalized before the story surfaced.

As reported earlier, WWE executives don't want to draw any more attention to the Lee-Beadle story than necessary.

Five ways WWE will be changed after TLC

In case you haven’t heard, a big change is coming at WWE TLC. The WWE and World Heavyweight Championships will cease to exist, merged into one supreme Unified Championship that will be earned in that most treacherous of crucibles, a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match. By now, the WWE Universe knows the players involved: Randy Orton, WWE Champion, and John Cena, World Heavyweight Champion. They know the match was instigated by Cena after Orton retained his title through various hoodwinks by his handlers in The Authority, and they know Orton – despite the backing of the corporate power – is on somewhat shaky ground going into the biggest match of his life.

Will WWE Unify Both WWE & World Titles?

A promo aired during tonight’s WWE Main Event tapings in Uncasville, CT where Triple H said he wanted only one WWE Champion and wanted to unify both titles with the Randy Orton vs. John Cenamatch at next month’s TLC pay-per-view.
Our correspondent wasn’t sure if Triple H was making the announcement that the match will now be to unify the titles or if he was just talking about what he wanted to do.

Possible Clarification Regarding WWE TLC Pay-Per-View Match

As previously reported, it was announced on Monday night's edition of WWE RAW that John Cena and Randy Orton will face one another in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match at the upcoming WWE TLC pay-per-view event, in which both the WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line.

World Heavyweight Champion John Cena vs. WWE Champion Randy Orton (Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match)

At WWE Tables, Ladders & Chairs, the WWE Universe will bear witness to a match 11 years in the making.
With not one, but both World Titles hanging in the balance, World Heavyweight Champion John Cena will face WWE Champion Randy Orton in an historic Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match. The watershed contest will leave one Superstar in possession of both World Titles, a feat that has never been accomplished since the World Heavyweight Title was introduced in September 2002.
