WWE Studios Acquires Rights to "The Resurrection of Gavin Stone" Movie with Shawn Michaels #MMBWWE

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (July 29, 2015) – WWE Studios (NYSE: WWE) announced today that it has acquired worldwide rights to The Resurrection of Gavin Stone, a faith-based title from the Harvest Bible Chapel’s Vertical Church Films. The film recently wrapped production and stars Brett Dalton (Marvel’s “Agents of Shield”), Anjelah Johnson-Reyes (Moms’ Night Out), D.B. Sweeney (“Suits,” “24”), Neil Flynn (“The Middle”) and WWE Legend Shawn Michaels.

A fan has posted the trailer for WWE Studios' "12 Rounds 3: Lockdown" on YouTube, as seen above. The movie is scheduled to be released on September 11th and stars Dean Ambrose. Below is the synopsis:

"WWE Superstar Dean Ambrose plays Shaw, a detective who returns to active duty after the death of his partner. When he uncovers evidence linking his fellow officers to a murder, they frame him for a homicide he didn’t commit. Trapped in his own precinct, Shaw will do whatever it takes to expose the dirty cops and clear his name. With twelve rounds in the clip and one shot at redemption, nothing will stand in Shaw’s way in this action-packed thriller."

Dean Ambrose Likely Written Off TV For An Extended Period Of Time #MMBWWE

The Dean Ambrose stretcher job on RAW and the storyline that he's "missing" after refusing medical treatment was likely done to write him off TV for a few weeks. Ambrose is scheduled to begin filming WWE Studios' Lockdown soon.

WWE Being Forced To Re Write CM Punk Out Of Movie Script

We noted before that WWE was facing an issue with CM Punk being tied to a lot of licensing and future projects. Word from someone working on WWE Studios' Flinstones movie that comes out in 2015 reports that the script is being re-written for another Superstar to replace Punk's character, likely Rey Mysterio. Rey has indeed been added to the movie.

WWE Studios and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment announced Friday that Randy Orton will star in 12 Rounds: Reloaded. The direct-to-homevideo title is the sequel to the film John Cena starred in 2009.

WWE Studios Shooting Movie In Philadelphia

WWE Studios and IM Global are partnering to produce a new $30 million movie project - Dead Man Down. The movie is a romantic thriller and will feature Colin Farrell, Naomi Rapace, Terrence Howard and Dominic Cooper. Farrell will play a crime lord's right-hand man who is seduced by Rapace's character in a scheme to exact retribution.
