Rangers select Seahawks QB Russell Wilson in Rule 5 draft - #MMBSports

The 2013 Winter Meetings come to an end today, unofficially with this morning's Rule 5 draft. Most executives will leave Orlando by midday.
A total of nine players were selected in the major-league phase (fewest in 15 years), but the most interesting pick came in the Triple-A portion. The Rangers selected current Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson from the Rockies with the 15th pick and now control his baseball rights. Because of the way the minor-league phase works, Texas essentially bought him from Colorado for the $12,000 fee.

Texas Rangers Want Your Vote, Texas or Rangers On Jerseys?

The Texas Rangers have dilemma, no not Cliff Lee that ship has already sailed. The problem the Rangers are having (and honestly been having) is what to put on the front of their jerseys. Currently it says TEXAS, but they want to know if you the fans would prefer TEXAS or RANGERS. As you can they have tried both just like they have tried both red and blue caps. I am thinking the RANGERS will be the old school look worn by Nolan Ryan, but I could be wrong. If you want to voice your opinion and throw your vote in, then head over  to http://texas.rangers.mlb.com/.
