76ers Rookie Jahlil Okafor Considering Legal Action Against Woman On Twitter Who Says He's A 2 Minute Man #MMBSports

NBA rookie Jahlil Okafor claims he’s been targeted by an Internet “troll”, who is spreading disgusting lies about a sexual encounter that never happened and now he’s taking action to shut her down.
Social media exploded over the past 24 hours after someone claiming to be a woman named “Chanel” went to Twitter and posted a story about hooking up with Okafor, complete with embarrassing details involving his junk and bedroom performance.

Jahlil Okafor raises eyebrows by unceremoniously discarding new jersey #MMBSports

Is Jahlil Okafor salty about being drafted by the 76ers?
The former Duke star was predicted by most to go either No. 1 or No. 2 in the 2015 NBA Draft. But when the Lakers selected D'Angelo Russell second, Okafor slipped down to the Sixers at No. 3.

On Saturday, he was introduced in his new city and presented with a uniform to hold up for pictures. When he was done meeting with the press, he dispassionately tossed the jersey onto a table or chair and walked away. Naturally, the Internet freaked out and began questioning whether Okafor was displeased with his situation.

It makes it look a little worse since the other two draftees, Richaun Holmes and J.P. Tokoto, were both selected in the second round and might be holding on to those jerseys a bit tighter. But I get it, you think you're about to move out to Los Angeles and start hanging out with Hollywood stars and eating breakfast with Kobe. Instead, you end up in Philadelphia. Not quite the same.
Regardless, I'm pretty sure any 19-year-old is just happy to be given a shot in the NBA.
So to answer the question. No, Okafor probably isn't salty about getting drafted by the Sixers. I'm sure he wasn't even thinking about how the Internet would perceive his actions. But, at the same time, it wouldn't hurt to be a little more tender with the new merchandise.

Allen Iverson, Philadelphia 76ers, Coming to Wizard World Philadelphia - #MMBComic #MMBSports

‘The Answer returns to Philadelphia!’ Appearing Saturday, May 9th, from 2:00PM til 6:00PM.

After high school, Allen Iverson attended Georgetown University and was the first athlete to leave the Hoyas for the NBA, after only his sophomore year. During his time there he set the record for career scoring average (22.9 points per game) and was named the Big East Defensive Player of the Year both seasons. Following two successful years at Georgetown, Iverson was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers as the number one overall pick in the 1996 NBA Draft. The 1996 Draft has gone down as one of the greatest draft classes in the history of the NBA. Allen was named Rookie of the Year in 1996-97. He is also an eleven-time All-Star, two- time All-Star MVP and League MVP. Allen is a four time Scoring Champion and his regular season career scoring average of 26.7 points per games ranks sixth alltime, in addition, his playoff career scoring average of 29.7 points per game is second only to Michael Jordan. In 2001, Iverson also led his team to the NBA Finals. Additionally, he represented the United States in the 2004 Summer Olympics, winning the Bronze Medal.

Matt Barnes Says Allen Iverson Routinely Dropped $40K at Strip Clubs #MMBSports

Allen Iverson isn't exactly a pillar of financial responsibility.
Much has been made in recent years about Iverson's being broke (or maybe not broke), and there are few expensive ventures you could rattle off involving The Answer that would make me stop in my tracks and say, "Nope. No way he did that." If it cost a lot and was around in the mid-2000s, Iverson did it.

Philadelphia 76ers' Michael Carter-Williams Named NBA Rookie of the Year - #MMBSports

Philadelphia 76ers point guard Michael Carter-Williams, who averaged 16.7 points a game this season, was the overwhelming choice for NBA Rookie of the Year in voting released Monday.

Carter-Williams, one of the few bright spots in the Sixers' dismal 19-63 campaign, was only the third player since 1950-51 to lead all rookies in scoring, rebounding (6.3) and assists (6.2), joining Oscar Robertson (1960-61) and Alvan Adams (1975-76).

Trailer For Former 76ers' Star Allen Iverson Documentary Hits Web [Video] - #MMBSports

Allen Iverson documentary, fittingly called "Iverson," will debut at the Tribeca Film Festival on Sunday night. The trailer for the film was just released featuring interviews from Dwyane Wade, Tom Brokaw and Larry Brown who says, "As a coach, dealing with him on a daily basis, nobody trains you for that." Of course, Iverson himself gets a platform to speak as well. The doc is from first time director Zatella Beatty.

The documentary looks at Iverson's high school years (already the source for ESPN's "No Crossover") to his playing time and beyond.

Allen Iverson Spoofs Practice Rant In New Reebok Commercial [Video] - #MMBSports

Be careful. You might close your eyes and then watch this new Reebok commercial and think you’ve taken a time machine back to 1996.
With a new logo comes a new ad campaign and that’s exactly what Reebok has done with the assistance of one-time NBA greats Shaquille O’NealAllen Iverson and Shawn Kemp.
The 1:17 spot features Shaq working with comedian Lil’ Duval in a barber shop, though the former Los Angeles Lakers center isn’t exactly thrilled with how Duval wears his pants. The two get into an argument over his sagging drawers with Duval making fun of Shaq’s overly tight shorts, comparing him to Shawn Kemp.
That’s where Kemp (I guess in disguise) appears, promoting the Reignman before Bad Boy rapper French Montana makes a small cameo.
The spot hits its pinnacle though when Iverson makes his grand entrance – apparently getting a haircut while wearing a hat.
