Bud Selig was on hand when the Miami Marlins played their first regular-season game in their swanky new ballpark in April. The commissioner provided a glowing review of the $634 million project and boldly declared that opposition to the facility would fade away within five years.

Miami Marlins trade 3 stars to Toronto Blue Jays
Reacting to the Miami Marlins' latest payroll purge on Twitter, slugger Giancarlo Stanton gave it three exclamation marks.
He wasn't exaggerating. The Marlins' spending spree a year ago didn't work, so they went the salary-dumping route again Tuesday, shedding some of their biggest stars and multimillion-dollar salaries in one blockbuster deal.

Adam Greenberg will get his ‘One At-Bat’ with the Miami Marlins Tuesday
It sure looked like a long shot, but the One At-Bat campaign will end with one at-bat.
The Miami Marlins offered Adam Greenberg one more chance in the major leagues on Thursday morning's edition of NBC's "Today" show. The 31-year-old quickly accepted the team's one-day contract, setting up a full-circle ending to what has been an interesting story. Greenberg is scheduled to face R.A. Dickey and the New York Mets at Marlins Park next Tuesday in the second-to-last game of the season.

Image of The New Miami Marlins Cap Surfaces
To further confirm the rumors of the new Miami Marlins logo/cap here is a image that is floating around on what the Marlins new fitted will look like next season. It seems to be a navy blue cap, which God knows we need another team with a navy blue cap. However the colors remind me a bit of the Oklahoma City Thunder's colors and we all know how that logo/jersey concept worked out. The bigger question here is with the new artsy marlin does this mean Billy the Marlin will be replaced? Worst yet if he's kept around does he become some odd shape making people wonder if they ate bad sea food?

The NEW Miami Marlins Cap Logo Leaks Online
If you thought watching the Florida Marlins play baseball was difficult and unbearable wait till they relocate next season and become the Miami Marlins.
The above image is the "rumored" cap logo for the Miami Marlins next season. Personally a downgrade a huge downgrade if you asked me.
A very reliable source says the PDF of the logo leaked by accident, does it really leak by accident? The Marlins have responded with no comment as we would expect them to.
The official uniform and logo presentation is set for November 11, with the Marlins set to play ball in their new ballpark in downtown Miami in April 2012.
