Chad Ochocinco To Make MLS Soccer Debut March 22nd

With the NFL Lockout still intact many players have looked for jobs elsewhere. Not like Chad Ochocinco is hurting without getting paid from the NFL, but he has recently signed a deal with the MLS soccer club Sporting Kansas City. Chad made an announcement via twitter about his debut, “I’ll be playing on the MLS team Sporting Kansas City on March 22^nd, thank everyone involved especially coach Vermas, EPIC”.

Publicity stunt or actual move into soccer? Only time will tell.

Philadelphia Union Name Bimbo Jersey Sponsor

As many of you may know or not know I am a jersey collector. I love the color schemes and designs used to give a team an identity, but something I have always hated was sponsorships. I understand why they are done, but just cannot stand when a company's name is plastered all over the front of a team's jersey. The team's identity is now a cooperate billboard. Sadly, it was announced today the Philadelphia Union of the MLS will now become a Bimbo Bakery billboard. In the long run it will help both parties gain exposure and financial gain, but still ruins it when you are not sure if it is the Philadelphia Union on the field or the Bimbo National Team.
