IHOP Changes Logo For First Time In 20 Years Because The Old Version Was Too Frowny

In a move that literally turns a frown upside down, IHOP has changed its logo for the first time in 20 years. Partly because the old version used a red swoop that was just a bit too sad.
The company found that the red banner “appeared as a person’s frown,” its Vice President of Marketing Kirk Thompson told BuzzFeed News.
That’s not the kind of negative attitude that guests want with their pancakes, he says, echoing statements in the company’s official press release.

WWE Reported To Be Using Network Logo Going Forward

PWInsider reports that WWE will begin using a new company logo once the Network launches later this month. It is the same logo we've seen on Network material and the new WWE jet that Stephanie McMahon posted a photo of last week.

Bobcats unveil new ‘Charlotte Hornets’ logo for 2014-15 season - #MMBSports


The Bobcats unveiled Saturday a new logo that will serve the franchise once it re-brands as the “Charlotte Hornets” for the upcoming 2014-15 NBA season. The new logo, seen above, was announced during halftime of Charlotte’s home game against Utah at the Time Warner Cable Arena.

MLB blames Superstorm Sandy for leak of new Houston Astros logo on team’s site

The Houston Astros' new logo for 2013 and beyond may have officially just moved from baseball's "worst-kept secret" to "common knowledge." That's because a visit to the team's website on Tuesday morning revealed that every player page contained the team's new logo as well as a picture of the player wearing a hat that was poorly photoshopped onto his head.

Why The WWF Logo Is No Longer Blurred

For the past ten years, video content from WWE's "Attitude Era" (1998–2002) has been edited due to a lawsuit with the World Wildlife Fund over the WWF initials. All WWF "scratch" logos and references to the initials had to be blurred or edited out. This directive has now changed, at least in part.

Logo Creator Sues Baltimore Ravens Again, For Continued Use Of His Logo


Frederick Bouchat was found by a jury, and multiple appeals, to have designed the logo that the Baltimore Ravens used heavily to create their initial logo, upon being admitted into the NFL as an expansion franchise in 1996.
