Backstage News on Destination America Dropping the First Wednesday Showing for ROH #MMBROH

As noted, Destination America has dropped the 8pm EST airing for Ring of Honor TV on Wednesday nights. They still have the 11pm EST airing but the first is no longer scheduled. Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Destination America is trying out new programs in the 8pm time slot but this is not a good sign for ROH. This Wednesday an episode of "Bigfoot In America" is scheduled while "Mountain Monsters" is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5th.

Meltzer noted that unlike the TNA roster, ROH talents were informed of the 8pm EST showing being dropped before the news broke. They were given the excuse that Destination America is trying out new programming in the time slot.

There have been no changes to the TNA Impact Wrestling schedule as they still have the 9pm EST and the midnight airings scheduled. We'll keep you updated on any more information that becomes available.

Details On The TNA Conference Call With Talent #MMBTNA

TNA officials said they couldn't address the Destination America reports during their conference call with talents. However, TNA President Dixie Carter did tell the company that TNA has a good relationship with Destination America.

Dixie added that they are planning for 2016 but would not comment on reports of Destination America having an "out clause" in September due to legal advice and confidentiality clauses. Dixie did add that out clauses in TV deals are common.

The call reportedly went over 90 minutes with Dixie giving a 10 minute introduction. Talents spoke for about 30 minutes and needless to say, there were some angry talents on the call.

TNA Officials Update Talent On Status #MMBTNA

TNA officials have reportedly sent an e-mail to all talents saying the reports of Destination America dropping TNA programming are defamatory and detrimental to TNA's business, adding that the company will be seeking legal action.

Regarding TNA programming being dropped, F4Wonline.com reports that the term being used internally at the Discovery Network, Destination America's parent company, is "not renewing."

Taz & TNA Wrestling Said To Be On Bad Terms #MMBTNA

Taz missed the recent set of TNA Impact Wrestling tapings and that repercussions could be coming for him. It wasn't the actual TV tapings he missed but a voice-over session in Nashville to record commentary for the Impact episodes that have been taped.

TNA's Debut on Destination America Airing Live? #MMBTNA

TNA has announced Impact Wrestling tapings at the Manhattan Center in New York City for January 7th, 8th and 9th. The current plan is to do the first show either live or on a one to two hour tape delay. This all depends on Destination America confirming the Wednesday 9pm time slot, which is expected.

TNA had been considering several locations for December 15th tapings but without being able to finalize any dates until the Destination America deal was complete, it was pretty much impossible to put together tapings on such short notice.
