Darren Young Has Successful ACL Surgery

Darren Young says he tore his ACL at the WWE live event last Saturday night and has already been through surgery. He tweeted the following today:

"I tried 2 tough it out but Doc informed me I tore my ACL&surgery was needed.Surgery was a success now its time 2 live up 2 #nodaysoff #rehab"

TMZ has obtained a photo of WWE Superstar Darren Young and his boyfriend of two years. Earlier this week Young made news by coming out as a homosexual wrestler. Although not the first it was a big announcement as it is the first time the WWE has acknowledged a openly gay wrestler on their roster. Many gay wrestlers have wrestled for WWE at one time or another but never had they made it openly known they were homosexual.

Darren was at LAX Wednesday when we asked whether a gay wrestler could succeed in WWE, and Darren laughed, saying, "Absolutely. Look at me. I'm a WWE superstar and to be honest with you, I'll tell you right now, I'm gay. And I'm happy. I'm very happy."
