Pro Wrestler Sentenced for Collingswood Bank Robbery

CAMDEN — A professional wrestler known for his daring feats in the ring appeared withdrawn and somber Friday as a judge sentenced him to five years in prison for robbing a Collingswood bank last year.

A local professional wrestler surrendered to police here Friday in connection with a Dec. 22 bank robbery.

Nicholas Wilson, known as Nick Gage in the ultraviolent Combat Zone Wrestling world, turned himself in to Collingswood police around noon Friday and is charged with robbing the PNC Bank on Haddon Ave.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says Wilson, 30, walked into the bank branch, approached the teller and gave her a note demanding money and threatening to shoot her if she did not comply. After receiving about $3,000, he fled the bank on foot. 

The prosecutor's office said the public helped identify Wilson, whose last known address was Lakeshore Drive in Camden, as the suspect.

He's charged with second-degree bank robbery and is being held in Camden County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail.
