Former WWE Champion Returning To MMA #MMBWWE

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that apparently former WWE Champion Alberto El Patron (Alberto Del Rio) will be returning to MMA soon. It's believed that he will be fighting for either Bellator MMA or Glory Kickboxing. There are other promotions that have talked with Patron but those are the two groups that have been in negotiations as of late.

Former WWE Champion Signing With TNA In 2015? #MMBTNA

Earlier in the week it was reported that Alberto Del Rio saying he had plans to wrestle for two companies with TV in 2015. Those two companies are reportedly AAA's Lucha Underground and TNA.

Del Rio made appearances in the Northeast this past weekend and was making it clear that he plans on working for Lucha Underground and TNA in 2015. There's no word yet on how that would work out contractually but that is Del Rio's plan.

Backstage Reaction From Wrestlers On Alberto Del Rio Departure #MMBWWE

Some of the wrestlers were sympathetic to Alberto Del Rio after he was fired by WWE. Regarding the WWE employee that Del Rio assaulted, Cody Barbierri, one person said he was a "jerkoff who was very arrogant" but said he was intelligent and his attitude had flown under the radar of WWE officials.

Another source noted that Barbierri had a few situations while on the road with WWE over the past year and he had a reputation for talking down to wrestlers. However, Barbierri has had the backing of Stephanie McMahon and has been a key player in WWE's social media department.

Fatherhood.gov removed Alberto Del Rio's PSA with his son from their website following his controversial WWE departure, according to Raj Giri of WrestlingINC. The videos for Roman Reigns and Titus O'Neil are still up.

After undergoing an MRI exam following an apparent hand injury on Raw, Sin Cara wrestled in a pre-show dark match at the Smackdown tapings, defeating Damien Sandow.

Alberto Del Rio Attacked By Multiple Men At Pub

PWInsider reports multiple men attacked World Champion Alberto Del Rio causing him to have two black eyes and multiple bruises heading into his match at Summerslam. The incident happened at an Irish pub near WWE's hotel. Del Rio reportedly got into a verbal argument with someone and that person hit Del Rio with his friends jumping in. This led to Drew McIntyre stepping in to help Del Rio.

Real Reason Alberto Del Rio Attacked Ricardo Rodriguez

One of the reasons for Alberto Del Rio’s attack on Ricardo Rodriguez at RAW is that WWE felt Del Rio wasn’t over enough as a heel because people love Ricardo.

Believe it or not, there was also a disciplinary component to it as Ricardo has drawn heat for openly complaining about his Wellness Policy violation.

Reports online report Alberto Del Rio clashed with upper-level management and threatened to quit WWE. One company source says Del Rio was frustrated with his standing and contemplating a departure. A second source said the incident 'wasn't that big a deal' and that both sides were wrangling over a contract matter. A third source believes the spat was a combination of both accounts.

A Mouse Goes Toe To Toe With John Cena

Could Kevin Nash's Bodyguard Services Been Requested By Del Rio?

After the dust settled a little bit and everyone started to let what happened at Summerslam sink in, many rumors that have been going around online for months may just be starting to take form. For months rumors have been swirling that Alberto Del Rio would be getting a new bodyguard, since Brodus Clay's services were no longer needed. Could that bodyguard be Kevin Nash? He has had experience in the bodyguard game and it could explain why Kevin Nash attacked CM Punk. Kevin Nash is signed to a legends contract with the WWE which basically allows them to use his name and likeness for such things as video games, action figures, DVD's, and t shirts, but what's the point of all that if you don't get to see Kevin on TV every now and then? Could The New Nexus Become The Zack Pack?

An idea was brought up by WWE creative recently to put Zack Ryder in a new group with WWE Tag Team Champions David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty, who may be without a stable if or when Nexus dies after CM Punk's departure.

Speaking of Nexus' future, Mason Ryan will likely be repackaged. There has been talk of using him as a bodyguard for either The Miz or Alberto Del Rio.
