Thriller: Michael Jackson Record Becomes 1st 30-Time Multiplatinum Album, Trade Group Says

The Recording Industry Association of America said Jackson's 1982 album sold 30 million copies in the U.S., making Jackson the first artist to earn multiplatinum status 30 times.
