8–Year–Old Taylor Swift Fan Dies Days After Receiving Call From The Singer

Taylor Swift has become well–known for her good deeds and acts of charity this year. However, one particular heart–melting act stands out above the others.
Delaney "Laney" Ann Brown had been suffering from Leukemia and listed talking to the singer on her bucket list. As a surprise for the girl's eighth birthday, Swift called Brown on FaceTime to brighten her day. E! Online has since reported that the young fan died on Christmas day, but many of her final wishes were granted.

A post on the 'Team Laney' Facebook page described Brown's chat with Swift:
…Laney got to fulfill another one of bucket list items..... to talk to Taylor Swift!!! Laney was so nervous to talk to her because she is such a "famous celebrity". I was actually worried that when Taylor Facetimed her that she would be to scared to talk but Taylor was fabulous!! She really engaged Laney in conversation. Laney lit up and had a huge smile on her face. I can't thank Taylor enough for taking time out from her family to make Laney's birthday very memorable. We will hold that memory in our hearts forever.
The young girl gained media attention when she added that she wanted to hear Christmas carolers to her bucket list. Over four thousand people showed up in front of her house to sing Christmas songs and put a smile on the child's face. Brown also had the opportunities to pet an alligator and babysit an infant -- two more items on her list.
Reportedly, Swift was made aware of Brown's situation through the Make–A–Wish Foundation.
