PHOENIX — Divas Champion AJ Lee joined an esteemed group of WWE Superstars and Divas, granting her first individual wish to a Circle of Champions honoree!
One of AJ’s biggest little fans, Heidie, 9, arrived at the US Airways Center dressed as AJ to meet her favorite Diva and watch one of AJ’s biggest nights ever on Raw.
“It’s unbelievable anytime I see a little girl dressed up as me,” AJ told WWE.com. “To go through that effort is the coolest thing in the world. To have that happen and be somebody’s wish is kind of the biggest deal in the world to me. I never thought that was something that would happen.”
The Divas Champion met the spunky 9-year-old before dropping her own “pipe bomb” on Raw Monday night, sending shockwaves through the WWE Universe. But putting her beef with the cast of “Total Divas” aside, AJ reveled in the moments she shared with the Make-A-Wish kid.
“She was so strong, and so cute. Her name was Heidie and she was just the sweetest little thing,” AJ said.
AJ spent time signing autographs for her mini-me, posed for photos with Heidie and her family and even went for a skip with her.
“If in any way I could have made her happier, made her and her family just have a good time, I feel like all this has been worth it,” AJ said. “This is what I wanted to do getting into [WWE] — affect people in a good way.”
AJ would love to fulfill as many wishes as John Cena, who is closing in on granting a record-breaking 400 wishes with Make-A-Wish. While the Divas Champion is never one to lack confidence, she isn’t sure she’ll be the next Superstar or Diva to achieve such a milestone with Make-A-Wish.
“That would be amazing! It probably won’t happen, but I would love to do as many as possible,” she said. “It’s the coolest experience in the world.”
