WWE Considering Making Network A Premium Channel
With the WWE Network launch still a few months away, the latest word out of WWE is that the company is considering making it a paid premium channel, similar to HBO or Showtime, where subscribers pay a monthly fee. This model is not confirmed, but the feeling is that it would be easier to get the channel picked up by cable providers. Instead of companies like Comcast and Time Warner having to pay WWE rights fees to carry the channel, WWE could instantly begin making money from subscriber fees.
