The Texas Rangers on Tuesday signed the free agent right-hander, according to The Dallas Morning News.
CBSSports.com reported the deal is for $5 million guaranteed.
Oswalt, who resides in Mississippi, previously auditioned for the Phils, Dodgers, Red Sox and Rangers, but indicated Texas was his destination of choice. According to CBSSports, the Phillies were among several teams of have offered Oswalt more than the Rangers.
The 34-year-old spent last season with the Phillies, posting a 9-10 record and 3.69 ERA. The three-time All-Star has a career record of 159-93 in 11 seasons with the Astros and Phils.
