New WWE Viral Campaign Launches, But What Does It Mean?

WWE.com have recently begun running a viral campaign. When visiting the official website, a brief 10 second video plays giving no real clues to its purpose and includes various clips of military and rioting. It then ends off with the words ‘A Revolution Is Coming’ along with a red X.

WWE loves to tease fans with their viral videos, Chris Jericho’s returns even from his debut have been accompanied by such campaigns. Lord Tensai, who debuted after WrestleMania had his own videos air prior to his comeback, intriguing fans to question who this man from Japan was. Even Kane and his mask had the teasing treatment, before he returned back to the ring after his injury.
A Revolution suggests change. Such a statement is intriguing and opens up a whole host of possibilities. It draws the fans to suggest our own conclusions with various directions and outcomes… A new management on the horizon? Can we expect to see an NWO or Nexus style revolt from a group of unhappy wrestlers tired of the current regime? Perhaps a new stable is WWE bound, intending to make their mark or even take over the WWE? Or even just an individual looking to make an impact. Or something less interesting like the WWE Network?
