Phillies' Lee placed on DL with oblique strain

The Phillies have placed pitcher Cliff Lee on the disabled list with a left oblique strain and recalled lefty reliever Joe Savery from Triple A Lehigh Valley.


Lee was scheduled to pitch Monday in Arizona. Kyle Kendrick will make that start.

Lee pitched 10 shutout innings, throwing 102 pitches, in his last outing Wednesday at San Francisco.
