Jimmy Rollins exited the game after the third inning with a groin strain and is listed as day to day.
Manager Charlie Manuel said Rollins will have an MRI on Monday.
It appeared as if the injury came when Rollins ranged to his left to field a bouncer behind second base then pirouetted to throw out the Nats’ Jesus Flores at first base.
As a result of leaving the game after just two hitless at-bats, Rollins’ six-game hitting streak was snapped. He had a hit in 14 of the last 15 games heading into Sunday.
Wilson Valdez replaced Rollins at shortstop.
