BREAKING NEWS: CM Punk Suspended Indefinitely by WWE

Tonight, following CM Punk's shocking final promo on Raw, Michael Cole announced to the live crowd that CM Punk was suspended indefinitely from WWE. Because tonight was a double Raw taping, we don't have word at this moment whether or not Michael Cole's announcement was part of the taping and will air next week, or if it was just intended for the live crowd. We will have more on this story as it develops. With his WWE contract expiring on July 17, one can only assume that this suspension effectively terminates CM Punk’s tenure with WWE.


UPDATE: As of Tuesday, June 28, WWE and CM Punk have reached an agreement that Punk will fulfill his non-televised live event obligations for the remainder of his contract, through July 17. Furthermore, both sides have mutually agreed not to disparage one another."
